Choosing to buy a new puppy
Puppies are a lot of work. They will toilet where you don't want them to, they will chew everything, they will dig, they will eat what they shouldn't, bark, get dirty, get sick....but, they will love you unconditionally, keep your lap warm, share your bed/couch, be there in the good times and the bad times, always understand you, they are your friend for life.
It is however important to be prepared for the reality of owning a puppy. This means having a training plan and starting that from the first day. Setting up physical boundaries in the house so your puppy learns the rules. Having a little corner set up for your puppy to call it's own where it can feel safe and comfortable. Having things around that puppy is allowed to chew on. Finding a vet and placing their number on your fridge. Researching pet insurance. Booking puppy in for puppy classes. Researching separation anxiety and how to avoid it. Teaching your puppy to enjoy being groomed. Below are some links that we recommend you check out before buying a puppy.
